Marko Toomast’s personal exhibition “Touch of Magic” | “A Touch of Magic”

Marko Toomast studies photography as an aesthetic object. The exhibition consists of works and important moments born during the last five years. Since the artist bases his work largely on internal impulses, these works carry an expressive message. Many of the works are inspired by music, but also by literature and art in general. The works have been influenced by Miles Davis’ music, which the author finds to be particularly photogenic. Roland Barthes’s “Camera Lucida”, which has a slightly gloomy undertone but offers very interesting starting points for analyzing photography, has also given impetus to the series becoming exactly as it is.
