Burnt plywood
This artwork has been made using birch plywood and a primary element – fire. This unique technique has been experimentally developed by the artist and practised for more than four years. As the title ‘When the Sun Stands Still and the Fire Feels Forever’ suggests, the work reminisces about the longest day of the year – the summer solstice. A magical time when the impossible takes shape, all matter is in a united movement, a bonfire crackles and everything blooms.
