The platform, 2025
copper plate etching, paper
The plattform is a copper plate print with a text I wrote last summer that speaks about a longing for change. To be in the same place for too long and realize that it isn’t working anymore. and that me and my friend needed this change and separation to finally be able to meet again later in a better place.
This is a translated version of the text.
A pattern of clarity on my skin
forms through the leaves of the tree I rest against
Memories written in water
they come in waves
Summer begins to show in my hair
and I realize I’ve acted as a rest stop for too long
Glass beads on a thread
longing around my wrist
It’s a little fragile when I sit on platforms
I always manage to find the silver lining
I’ve heard that beautiful destinies are inevitable
and shortcuts are punk
information less blue
See you when the ice melts
when we are warmer toward each other
