The work is one of the 3-piece series I presented in Kuvan Kevät exhibition. “
My starting point for these works was to make figurative paintings where a pattern wipes the whole surface and continues in the wall. I wanted to paint a certain filtered light phenomenon and combine this with the fence pattern. This became very interesting and fruitful platform to try different things in the painting surface. With the installation I tried to create an illusion of these paintings being attached into the fence (or net) I painted on the wall.”
For her works in Kuvan Kevät, MFA Degree Show, she received a stipend from Anita Snellman Foundation.
