Sharp stares, 2025
Concrete and nails, wall sculpture diameter: 30cm, hight: 10 cm
The sculpture was created during a period when the artist was working through broken friendships and the experience of betrayal that came with them. The work reflects memories of situations where the artist was in social spaces filled with seemingly close people, but where his presence became a silent object of assessment and discussion.
During the creative process, the focus shifted from self-blame to a reassessment of relationships. The sculpture marks the moment when the artist realized the need to find and keep people who value honest, open and reciprocal dialogue. The work symbolizes the restoration of self-worth and the conscious choice to belong to relationships where presence is recognized and appreciated.
The work is exhibited at the Tartu Annual Art Exhibition from 19 December 2025 to 25 January 2026. In the event of a purchase, the work can be collected after the exhibition has ended.
