In the painting, there is a clock that is melting – this refers to the flow of time, because in the current situation, the people have no choice but to wait for the end of the emergency situation. The flow of the clock is controlled by toilet paper, which is also running out. Namely, toilet paper is currently in short supply. The rat is surrounded by abundant vegetation, suggesting that there is hope for a fruitful future in its heart, despite the unexpected changes brought about by the pandemic. Although the year of the rat brought chaos, the rat’s intentions are positive. The Rat, as the bringer of the beginning of the 12-year cycle, is the beginning of a new era. Despite the inconvenience caused to humanity, the current situation has led to positive changes in nature. Due to isolation, the amount of pollution on the planet has decreased. People have isolated themselves and consume less polluting services. In addition, in Estonia, for example, calls for forest clearing have even been initiated, because people spend time in the forest, where they are isolated from the crowd, but in contact with nature.
