The painting is a part of Jānis Šneiders’ final Bachelor’s assignment work titled “Place”. The aim of “Place” is to speak about the basic structures of space – inner and outer, using a simple visual system: a grid, perspective, light and darkness, coming to the conclusion that less is more. It is exhibited in this year’s Art Academy of Latvia’s graduate students final assignment work exhibition “Fresh Meat for Critique” in Riga, at the former faculty of Biology of University of Latvia.
