The artist about the artwork:
“By working through several aspects of my interest of looking and observing the city, in my Master’s thesis „The Observer”, I try to answer questions like – how can I take an observation and turn it into an artwork and what does this artwork mean? When being a kind of a flâneur, I take photos, which show my interests and my way of seeing. The photos show observations which, by abstracting from the reality, I turn into paintings that depict a specific place, architecture, interior, time but in a way become universal and abstract. For me the empty spaces become a place where I can project my emotions, memories, experience.”
