Pyrography (printmaking on paper)
The artist´s comment on the artwork: “I made this work in the technique of pyrography. The reason for the creation of this work was because I found my old Russian soldering iron in the attic. It was a souvenir from my dad. When I was little, my dad burned patterns in the wood. All these memories inspired me to create “Icon”. The long work process and smoke from the soldering iron made me meditate and I even reached an abstract form. In my work, I refer to primitive, paleolithic art.”
