Oil on canvas One of two paintings from my thesis project, currently shown at Kuvan Kevät 2019, (MFA group exhibition in Exhibition Laboratory, Helsinki, Finland) Original idea was to paint my friends using the most horrible photos I could find. Broader theme consists of existential pondering of young men growing up, choices we make and different situations we end up to, willingly or not. Difficulty to choose the right path in life seems to be very common issue for our generation. Life might be pointless but it doesn’t mean it can’t be fun. There is a written text available for the audience to read in the gallery space during the exhibition which tells a long version of my thoughts behind this painting.
