Acrylic on canvas

“Background Noise” explores a space where different perceptions operate simultaneously: information, anxiety, memory, imagination and interruptions. The layered surface of the painting does not merge into a unified whole but remains a field of tension where colours and forms compete with one another. Each new brushstroke introduces another impulse into the visual space, not reinforcing what came before but displacing it.

The work is not chaos for the sake of aesthetic effect, but rather a portrait of perception in a world where concentration is constantly dissolving. Wholeness is replaced by fragments, and meaning emerges in discontinuous moments. The painting itself operates according to the same principle—fragmented, layered and tense.

“Background Noise” is not a background but an environment in which we move and within which our attention is constantly dispersing.
