“Attempt I” is an attempt to see beyond what can be imagined. The painting develops fragment by fragment, with only one section being completed at a time, without knowing what the next one will become. In this way, the final image cannot be anticipated. Throughout the process, different colour spaces, movements, backgrounds, and foregrounds emerge and begin to relate to one another in unexpected ways. The aim of the work is not to arrive at a predetermined image, but to evoke compositions that arise through the process itself, forming new and unforeseen relationships.
