The kinetic sculpture “And if I Do Become Dust…” was a process of self exploration into subconscious feelings. The theme of the work is the Self – how one experiences selfhood and individuality in a social setting, how being perceived changes how one acts and the impactfulness of analytical insight. The sculpture is activated by the presence of viewer, the chain starts slowly wearing down the gypsum, carving a path in the bust.
