Vladimiras Mackevičius (b. 1981, Vilnius, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian interdisciplinary artist working across sculpture, installation, painting, drawing, and conceptual art. He graduated with a BA in Sculpture from the Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2026 and has been a Professional Artist recognized by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania and a member of the Lithuanian Artists’ Association since 2022.

His artistic practice investigates identity, liminality, the ethics of technological progress, environmental responsibility, and the relationship between individual experience and broader social transformations. Through the use of found objects, industrial materials, biological elements, and conceptual installations, he explores the tension between materiality and meaning, questioning how contemporary individuals negotiate uncertainty, memory, responsibility, and personal transformation.

Mackevičius has presented more than twenty solo exhibitions and participated in numerous international group exhibitions, biennials, and art fairs across Europe and Asia. Recent exhibitions include the KUNO Biennial (Norway, 2025), the 7th Painting Biennial in Zagreb (Croatia, 2023), ArtVilnius, Shanghai Art Fair, and SNBA at the Carrousel du Louvre in Paris. His works are held in several public collections, including the M. K. Čiurlionis National Museum of Art (Lithuania), the National Museum of Art (Malta), the Lithuanian Museum of Theatre, Music and Cinema, the Adjara State Art Museum (Georgia), the Santaka Museum of Tauragė Region, and the Royal Academy of Arts in Barcelona. His recent projects increasingly focus on sculpture and installation as vehicles for philosophical inquiry, examining liminal states, digital identity, ecological responsibility, and the psychological conditions of contemporary existence.
