Viive Noor (1955) studied at the Estonian State Art Institute and has participated in more than 400 exhibi- tions across 33 countries since 1978, ranging from the United States to Japan. She has held 96 solo exhibi- tions. Noor works in printmaking, book illustration, and exhibition curation. In her artistic practice, she explores universal human themes while also addressing ecology and contemporary global issues. Her work and profes- sional activities have been widely recognised, including with the Order of the White Star, Fifth Class. She is the founder and organiser of the Tallinn Illustration Triennial as well as a member of the Estonian Graphic Designers’ Association and the Estonian Artists’ Association.
