Veiko Klemmer

Artist is based in: Estonia

Veiko Klemmer (born 1985) graduated from the University of Tartu with the degree of MA in Painting in 2009. The grand scope of a classical university offered him enough opportunities, so changing schools after BA degree seemed not necessary. During Klemmer’s master studies he also received a Ministry of Culture annual Wiiralt prize which is given for outstanding art students in Estonia.

Currently, Klemmer shares his time between personal art and design projects and teaching basic courses in Painting at the University of Tartu. Last year, Veiko developed his focus towards an abstract series.  Previously, some paintings from the Statism series have been on display at the Central Artists Unions Confederacy exhibition in Moscow’s Central House for Artists.
