Vassa Ponomarjova

Artist's country of origin: Estonia

Vassa Ponomarjova (b. 1984) is a graduate of the Estonian Academy of Arts, specializing in painting, and the Tallinn Old Town Art School. Currently Vassa is an illustrator and painter working mainly in the genre of figurative art. The focus is on human and his memories, the aesthetics of somnambulism and pseudo-nostalgia – the metaphysical matter of the reality of memories, which is diffuse, bordered by falsehood, but still just as believable to their owner. Vassa has participated in several group shows.
