Üllar Varik

Üllar Varik (1961) works as a designer and planner at the design firm Varik Projekt. He began his art studies at the Decorators’ Studio of the Kohtla-Järve Oil Shale Plant (1980) and later advanced his skills through distance art courses in Tartu (1983) and at the Lestinjokilaakson Art Days courses in Finland (1992–1994).
Varik served as the head of the Põlva Art Club (1992–1994) and as the municipal artist of Põlva (1993). He received the Grand Prize at the Põlva “Järve” Exhibition (1992). Additionally, he has compiled and edited two art catalogues: Andres Sütevaka: Small and Furious (2011) and Herman Talvik: I Am Burning (2016).
Since 1990, Varik has participated in numerous exhibitions. His paintings and graphic works are part of private collections in Finland, Sweden, and Estonia.
