Triin Marts Emerging artist

Triin Marts

Artist's country of origin: Estonia

Triin Marts has a BA level education both in dance and painting (Viljandi Culture Academy 2006-2011 and University of Tartu 2012-2015) and currently she is in the final stages of my MFA studies in the Estonian Academy of Arts. In addition she has spent an Erasmus semester in Dresden – at Palucca Hochschule für Tanz (in 2009) and in Kunsthochschule Kassel (in 2017), both in Germany.

As an artist she is still happily engaged and interested in both dance and visual art. Her work has been exhibited in several group exhibitions, mostly in Estonia, but also in the gallery Bunkier Sztuki in Krakow, Poland, and during my Erasmus studies in Kassel, Germany, and Athens, Greece. In 2013 she created and performed her solo dance piece “Kirke” in Tallinn, other cities and towns around Estonia and she has had the chance to work with the theatre director Robert Wilson as a performer in his piece Adam’s Passion (created and premiered in 2015, performances in Berlin in 2018).
