Tomas Kavarskas is a Lithuanian graphic artist whose practice centres on printmaking, artist’s books, and graphic design. He graduated with a BA in Graphic Art from the Vilnius Academy of Arts in 2026, having previously completed his studies at the National M. K. Čiurlionis School of Art.
Alongside his studies, Kavarskas has actively expanded his practice through international exchange programmes and workshops. In 2024–2025, he studied in the Book Art programme at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle under Professors Sabine Golde and Hans-Jörg Pochmann. He also participated in The Uncertainty Principle, an international letterpress and mokuhanga workshop organised by the Estonian Academy of Arts and Uniarts Helsinki (2023), as well as artist’s book workshops led by Professor Timothy Frerichs.
His work has been presented in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Lithuania and internationally, including the solo exhibition Litera(l) Wor(l)ds in Vilnius (2026), 22°G: Milieu, Young New Graphic Art: The Metaphysics of a Book, Artists as Independent Publishers (AAIP) in Vienna, Bremen, Antwerp and Halle, and the Leipzig Photobook Festival. In 2025, he was selected for the international artist’s book competition BookVision organised by the University of Ostrava and to present his graphic design practice at the ADC LT Fresh Talent Market. In 2024, one of his artist’s books was acquired by mumok – Museum of Modern Art Ludwig Foundation Vienna for its collection.
