Taavi Oolberg

Artist is based in: Estonia
Taavi Oolberg came to painting relatively late in life, after graduating from Tartu Art School Pallas. Before that, he mainly worked as a graphic designer, illustrator, and caricaturist. His painting has been most strongly influenced by his professors during his time at Pallas, to whom he often pays homage in his works. The impact of Peeter Allik and Imat Suumann is especially evident. Oolberg enjoys organizing his work into series. He also produces editioned painted prints, where each successive piece differs slightly from the previous one, together forming a kind of animated narrative flow. The artist values collaboration. He gladly engages in joint projects and exhibitions with other creators and often invites fellow artists to participate even in his solo shows. For him, sharing creative experiences and building a collective environment makes life much more joyful and inspiring.
