Sven Saag (born 1968) is an Estonian painter and printmaker. He studied painting in Tartu University in 1991-1994. Artist has participated in many exhibitions both at home and abroad. The artist tells about his painting: “Like a restorer, who removes layers of paint and founds underneath them more and more new figures, views, faces, painter can also approach painting in depth – scratch paintings and discover under layers of paint new and old pictures.” He is a member of Estonian Artists Association since 2001 and member of Estonian Painters’ Association since 2008.
