Saulė Budriūnaitė

Artist is based in: Lithuania

Saulė Budriūnaitė (b. 2003) is a young artist and illustrator. She completed her bachelor’s studies in graphic arts at the Vilnius academy of arts with her first solo exhibition “Preparing to feel happy” (supervised by assoc. prof. Ieva Babilaitė-Ibelgauptienė). In her work, the young artist explores and is interested in the aesthetics of kitsch, people’s relationship with artificiality, and attempts to soften the impact of difficult experiences. She uses drawing, book design, printmaking and objects to bring ideas to life. Different topics in artworks are usually handled with a touch of irony. Saulė has been actively participating in group exhibitions since 2024, including 11th Vilnius International Triennial of Small Graphic Forms.
