Natalja Kapajeva

Natalja Kapajeva graduated at Leningrad Institute of Light Industry and worked as a designer at Kreenholm textile mill in Narva (Estonia) for 18 years. During those years she created more than 300 designs for cotton fabrics. In 2006 she founded NGO ‘Club Patchwork Plus’, which is a member of Estonian Patchwork Union since, and it participates in annual festivals and exhibitions around the country. Kapajeva’s works were exhibited and participated at the international festivals in Latvia, The Netherlands, France, Finland and Russia (St. Petersburg, Moscow), such as ‘QUITING’. She is a member of Narva Artists’ Association ‘Vestervalli’. In 2019 she had 3 solo exhibitions in Jõhvi, Narva and Sillamäe and 10 group exhibitions with an association ‘Vestevalli’. The same year she was awarded with a honourable title of Narva Cultural Maker 2019 and received an award of Estonian Ministry of Culture. Her works are in the collection of Narva museum and in the private collections of various countries.
