Artist's country of origin: Finland

Mia holds both BA and MFA Degrees in Fine Art studies, recently graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki. She has been exhibiting her works both in Finland and abroad since 2008 and her works are in several collections, including The State of Finland Art Collection, Finnish Art Society and the collection of the cities of Tampere, Seinäjoki and Düsseldorf (kulturamt). Also Jan Watteus Art Collection in Sweden holds her works as well as The Private Collection of Jack Weil. She has been exhibited in many of the main independent galleries in Finland and has taken part in many curated and self-organised group exhibitions both nationally and world wide. Her work has been supported by The Finnish Cultural Foundation, Finnish Art Society, City of Tampere, Academy of Fine Arts, Arts Promotion Centre Finland, Alli and Allan Salo Fund as well as Alfred Kordelin Foundation.
