Maarja Mäemets Emerging artist

Maarja Mäemets (1991) explores manual practices through narrative objects,
working primarily with glass to create pieces in which material, space, and story
are closely interdependent. Mäemets holds a Master’s degree in glass art from
the Estonian Academy of Arts (2018). Since 2025, she has been studying in
Sweden at Konstfack in the CRAFT! programme and is also the chief organiser
of the Tallinn Applied Art Triennial. Mäemets is a member of the Estonian Glass
Artists’ Association and the Estonian Artists’ Association.
