My master’s thesis focused on the concept of aesthetic autonomy and its application in contemporary painting. I examined modernist and postmodernist movements, highlighting their differences and impact on the perception of art and painting practice. I emphasized the importance of aesthetic autonomy while also analyzing how contemporary artists incorporate social, political, and cultural narratives into their work. This research helped me better understand and theoretically justify my creative position. In my practical work, I explore the interaction between abstract forms and real-world motifs, aiming to find a balance between simplicity and expressive impact. Each painting is a step in my investigation of how form and content can coexist harmoniously, creating a visual language that resonates with both personal intuition and broader cultural contexts. Through this process, I seek to abstract and synthesize elements from my surroundings, reducing them to simple forms, color patches, and lines. My goal is to achieve a sense of clarity and order while maintaining a connection to the original subject. I focus on the expressive potential of line and color, inspired by artists like Paul Klee and Wassily Kandinsky, to create a visual rhythm and structure. Ultimately, my work aims to engage viewers by conveying a distilled yet impactful impression of the world around us.
