Luīze Rukšāne (1995) is a young artist. Graduated with BA (2021) degree from the Visual Communication department of the Art Academy of Latvia. Participating in group and solo exhibitions since 2017, in 2019 she was one of 7 Latvian artists represented in Jeune Création Europeenne Young Artist Biennale. In her work she is looking for ways to express her love towards imperfect perfections of being human. Reflecting on concepts of growing and growing-up, childhood memories and learning. The tragic, the funny, the teenage. Super serious yet naive when reflecting at what occured. Right now Luīze is continuing to develop works for two solo exhibitions in Riga 2022.
