Liivia Leškin (1956) has worked for many years in fashion
and textile art, turning increasingly toward painting over
the past decade. Her abstract paintings are characterised
by confident gestures and the courage to remain true to
intuition. Leškin graduated in fashion design from the
Estonian State Art Institute and worked there for many
years as a lecturer and professor in the fashion depart-
ment. She has actively participated in exhibitions and the
art scene both in Estonia and internationally. Leškin is a
member of the Estonian Artists’ Association.
