Liisa Mudist

Liisa Mudist (1994) is an artist, poet, and critic whose work addresses personal

themes – such as poverty and nonconformist gender and sexual identities in

post-socialist Estonia – often through humour. Mudist received her Master’s

degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki (2025) and has participated

in both group and solo exhibitions in Estonia, Finland, and Scotland. Her texts

have been published in Värske Rõhk and Postimees. She has received the

Värske Rõhk annual award for poetry as well as the main prize in a criticism

competition.
