Kristina Rezviha Emerging artist
Artist's country of origin: Latvia
I am an audio-visual artist with a passion for creating captivating experiences that merge various artistic disciplines. I hold my BA in Scenography from the Art Academy of Latvia. During my Bachelor student years, I was working in Latvian National Theatre, designed small student performances, and participated in Prague quadrennial, exhibitions, international projects and festivals. My scenographies, immersive performances, and installations often delve into the realm of socio-political discourse, creating thought-provoking experiences that explore the intersections between art and society. To further enrich my artistic journey, I completed a 3-month internship at the Contemporary Art gallery (‘1646’) in The Hague, Netherlands, where I gained invaluable insights into the vibrant contemporary art scene. Continuing my commitment to personal and artistic growth, I recently achieved my MA degree in the Visual Communications department, specializing in the captivating theme of Art-interventions in memorial culture. This academic pursuit allowed me to delve deep into the intricate dynamics between art, memory, and cultural heritage, exploring how artistic interventions can shape and redefine our collective understanding of history and identity.
