Keitlyn Kruus

Artist's country of origin: Estonia
Keitlyn Kruus (2000) is a multimedia artist who graduated cum laude from the Pallas University of Applied Sciences Department of Media Design in 2024. Her BA thesis “Looping Linocut Animation “Cycle”” received a commendation from the Pallas University of Applied Sciences Arts Thesis Evaluation Committee.
Keitlyn’s work focuses mainly on printmaking, animation and audiovisual art. As an artist, she is inspired by experimental techniques and unique approaches. “Fishman”, a stop-motion puppet animation created in collaboration with her coursemates Stiina-Liis Koddanipork, Marie Emili Kristov and Helena Kont, was chosen to participate in the alternative multimedia festival Intrepid Extravaganza II.
In November 2024, the artist began learning TouchDesigner to create real-time interactive audiovisual works. Because of that, the artist’s recent work mainly focuses on creating visuals for music. Keitlyn made the background visual for Karl Killing’s song “petan” for the 2025 Estonian Music Awards gala. Her first large-scale project was NOËP X, the jubilee concert of musician NOËP, held in March of the same year, for which the artist created 13 different audio-reactive visuals using TouchDesigner.
In her future work, the artist wants to focus on creating different audiovisual art – to continue collaborating with musicians to create unique visuals and to keep traditional animation techniques alive in Estonia.
