Artist's country of origin: Estonia

Kaire Nurk (s. 1960) has studided at the Estonian State Art Institute´s affliated branch of painting in Tartu, acquired a BA degree in painting at the University of Tartu and continues her studies at Master´s level. She has also studied history and scientific philosophy at the University of Tartu.
Her paintings are influenced by both the scale, generalisations and iconology of the view to the world in history and philosophy as well as the processes and conceptual developments in contemporary art.
