Jokūbas Griška
Artist's country of origin: Lithuania
Before and throughout my education at Vilnius Academy of Arts in Graphic Art department I was always curious, experimented with different techniques, forms or expressions. I did printmaking works, sculptures, earth-art structures, watercolour illustrations, artist books, jewellery etc. and only because I can’t limit myself to one method – different ideas require separate solutions. I kept on searching for an interesting perspective to view the everyday things. I’m an interdisciplinary artist who tires to do whatever I can to realise the ideas that I have in my head – sharing those ideas and making them relevant to others is what drives me. I try to stay active as an artist, participate in events or exhibitions and further develop my thinking space. Since I always try to come up with new projects it is difficult for me to single out any of them as they are all unique. My focus is just to achieve a way of showing new artworks to a larger audience each time.
