Gert Kelu

Gert Kelu

Artist's country of origin: Estonia

Gert Kelu relocated to the Bahamas, where they discovered a passion for underwater photography. They are particularly captivated by the synergy between water and the movement of human bodies during wave surfing; this exchange of energy forms a beautiful dance performance, capturing which is incredibly fulfilling.

While living in the Bahamas, Gert Kelu also delved into the world of wooden surfboard construction. They utilize locally available materials, often collecting them from the beaches, to create unique and environmentally friendly surfboards.
