Gaile Cijunaityte

Gaile Cijunaityte (b. 1997) is an artist currently based in Vilnius, Lithuania. She recently received a degree in Animation in Vilnius Academy of Arts. Her work resorts to tools of animation, 3D technologies as well as video. Gaile experiments with the concept of virtual reality, which she sees not only as a piece of technology, but as a phenomenon that blends with reality and brings a lot of confusion while simultaneously inspiring to raise new questions regarding perception and mutual relationships. Her pieces also explore subjects related to human psychology and its paradox. Gailes works were presented in CCA Futura, Prague (2020), “ArtVilnius” art fair (2019), exhibition halls “Titanikas”, Vilnius (2018), media art festival “Enter”, Šiauliai (2018, 2019) and other.
