Emils Kocers (b.1999) is an Artist based in Riga, Latvia. In his creative process, considering everything as practise, Emils sees art as never ending experiments of his own choice. Known for expression and portrait painting Emils dives in different aspects of human identity that he then combines with his deeper interests of unconscious mind and views of spectacle in surrounding World. While using oil paints, Emils in his paintings materializes different states of human emotion shown through interpretation of people and their identities. The Expressive psychological portraits are mixture of reality and abstract where reality manifests from social conundrums but abstract from inner clarity.

In 2025 Emils Kocers graduated with BA in painting from Art Academy of Latvia. Till then he put focus on learning more about what it means for him be a painter. Emils has participated in several group shows and residencies.
