Ede Raadik
Artist's country of origin: Estonia
Ede Raadik (born 1989) is an artist from Tallinn, she defended her master’s degree at the Estonian Academy of Arts graphic art department in 2015. She mainly works in the serial format characteristic of conceptual art, and uses photography to illustrate how we often (mis)interpret visual information. In her extensive series “Fieldstone/Kivi 4” (2015), she photographs a number of small stones found on a field and adds pseudoscientific metadata to the photo database, referring to a phenomenon called pareidolia – a human ability to see faces in lifeless things.
