Artist's country of origin: Estonia

Art Allmägi (b. 1983) is a sculptor and installation artist who lives and works in Tallinn. He graduated from Tartu High School of Arts (2008) and Estonian Academy of Arts (2011) majoring in sculpture. He has been participating in exhibitions since 2006. In the years 2016-2020, he worked in the sculpture department of the Estonian Academy of Arts. He still does pedagogical work as an hourly paid teacher at EKA. His personal exhibitions are characterized by thematic seriality, which changes after every 3-4 exhibitions. In his work, traditional work methods are intertwined with modern art. He has been recognized with the following awards for his labor-intensive indoor installations: Kristjan Raua Award (2018), Ado Vabbe Award (2017), Köler Prize Audience Award (2016)
