Arne Maasik

Artist's country of origin: Estonia

Arne Maasik (born 1971 in Tallinn) has worked as an architect and artist since 1995, after graduating from the Estonian Academy of Art with a Master’s degree. In 1996-2003, worked as an architect at the architectural firm of Künnapu & Padrik. Worked on many projects and designs for architectural competitions.



In 2003­-2007, worked as the creative director of the photography agency Zepp Grafelin. As of 2007, founder and owner of the photography agency Decadencity. Has worked as a faculty member in the Photography Department of the Tartu Higher Art School, Estonian Academy of Arts and has reviewed the theses of architectural students at the Tallinn College of Engineering. Contributed to many architectural and art publications in Estonia and abroad, including Architectural Review (UK), AD (UK), A10 (Netherlands), Stauba (Czech Republic) Arkkitehti (Finland), Maja, Eramu, Projekt & Ehitus, kunst.ee, Eesti Ekspress, Estonian Art, Vikerkaar, Ehituskunst and others. Member of the Estonian Artists’ Association since 2003.
