Andres Koort

Andres Koort (born 1969 in Tallinn) is an Estonian painter, scenographer, exhibit designer and curator. Andres Koort has been exhibiting his paintings since 1991. He is a member of the Estonian Artists’ Association and member of the board of the Estonian Painters Association since 2002.

Having graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts as a stage designer, Koort has designed stages for Estonian Drama Theatre, Tallinn City Theatre, the Estonian Puppet Theatre, Theatrum (all in Tallinn) and Endla Theatre (in Pärnu).

A number of Koort´s works can be found in the collections of Tartu Art Museum and Lithuanian Art Museum.

Andres Koort´s grandfather was a legendary Estonian sculptor, Jaan Koort.
