Iiri Poteri

Iiri Poteri (b.1992, Finland) is an artist based in Helsinki who works with video, performance, installations, photography and sound. Recurring themes within her artistic practice are vulnerability, authenticity and memory, with an aim to create shared experiences and spaces for surprises and to be touched. Currently, completing a Masters in Fine Arts degree at the Academy of Fine Arts, Uniarts Helsinki, in the Time and Space department. Poteri also holds a BFA in Fine Arts and has a background in photography. Poteri’s work have been shown both in Finland and internationally with recent solo exhibition “Here we are”, Helsinki (2020) and group exhibitions “Kuvan Kevät”, Helsinki, FI (2020), “Can’t Leave Home Without It”, Split, HR (2019). Poteri has also performed “Let Your Earthly Spoils Be Soiled” in, Zürich, CH (2019) and “Multispecies Salon” (2018) for the biennial Manifesta 12, in Palermo, IT.
