Eliis Laul ^{Emerging artist}

Eliis Laul (b. 1991. Lives and works in Tallinn, Estonia) is currently finishing her Bachelor studies in Photography from the Estonian Academy of Arts. She has also received previously a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Tallinn University (2015). In her work she is most interested in combining her background in human psychology to photo making and understanding the way visual information is being read and understood. Her photos can be seen as documentary from her daily life, yet which hold a great surrealistic and unexpected element to them. Her works have been shown in multiple exhibitions, from which the latest were held in Pictorico Gallery Tokyo in Japan and HBKSaar in Saarbrücken, Germany. In 2019 her work got shortlisted in ISSP competiton “Seeking the Latest in Photography” and selected to FRESH EYES photobook project of 100 best emerging photography talents in Europe at the present moment.
