David Lundström Nabel works in the medium of painting. Through his visual work, Nabel confronts ideas of religious experience and notions of wider cultural and social identities in his work. His paintings are often distorted by gestural smears of fluid brushwork that enter into realms of abstraction. Nabel states that the abstract forms should appear to the viewer as manifestations of unformed recollections, to allow the viewer to entering the scene with their own experience guided by the artist.
