Only a One Year, 2023

The Only One Year project reimagines my life in 2009-2010, when I lived in Russia and sewed new clothes for myself every day. I photographed myself daily for one year, and more than a decade later, I used those photos to create tiny fabric appliqués. Clothing holds memories, when I look at a particular garment, it brings back significant events, emotions and feelings from my past. The pink wall represents my old kitchen which has now been repainted, the colour is reproduced in this art work.
