Makeup, authors technique.
These prints are isolated makeup layer images from the skin preserved in experimental technique. The makeup is lifted from the skin and can be seen on a flat surface like an original image. The texture of the wearer’s skin has left visible impressions in the colourful makeup layer. This is a way to save the makeup look opposed to washing it away at the end of the day. This work has been exhibited at The Art Academy of Latvia graduate festival “Fresh meat for critique”, and represented Latvia at the KoMASK AWARD MASTERS PRINTMAKING exhibition in Antwerpen, the year 2019.
