From Narva with Love, 2025

This is my diploma animation, “From Narva with Love.” The film explores the fate of Narva’s street children through a personal lens of memory, nostalgia, and youthful romanticism. I worked on this project for over two years, collecting photographs of streets and graffity to incorporate into a 2D collage animation style. The most challenging part was developing the storyboard — finding a way to weave in moments from my own autobiographical criminal teenage years in Narva. For the graduation exhibition, I created a cozy installation where visitors could sit, relax, and watch the animation comfortably. The film is 5 minutes and 50 seconds long. On the table, I placed photo albums from that era in Narva and a feedback sheet — reading people’s thoughts afterward was deeply moving. I am going to share with you a link of a movie.
