“Fragility (or experiencing illness and loss) ” , 2025
70 x 250 cm
Japanese Washi paper, block print ink
This series of five linocuts reflects the artist’s personal experience of losing a loved one to cancer. This work is about the fragility of life, the unpredictability of illness, and the emotional stages of loss. Each piece represents a step in the journey from existence to death and remembrance. The limited color palette of black, grey, and pink refers to the pink ribbon — symbol of breast cancer awareness. This project is both a personal farewell and a visual meditation on pain, memory, and the traces we leave behind.
