The first painting in the series that I recently presented, titled 05:00, might be the most feral of them. Hence it marks the beginning of our story. It is flirting with our animal past. I scratched the paint off with a sharp tool, drew a penis, and carved out my last name. Anjou was here. The gray swoop to the right became a breast, and that made sense to me, as the upper part of the painting was very milky, and also because a breast was very central in my own beginning, just like in many others, most, actually. To the left, more breasts were added to the sphinx that few other than myself recognize as a sphinx.
