Why Support NOBA?

NOBA.ac is the largest contemporary art platform in Northern Europe and the main information channel introducing artists and art events from Estonia and neighboring countries.

NOBA connects professional art with the public — offering access to the region’s vibrant contemporary art scene through exhibitions, stories, and a curated selection of artworks available for discovery and purchase.

The platform’s development and day-to-day operation rely largely on self-financing, which is NOBA’s most important and stable source of income.

Since public funding from the Ministry of Culture and Cultural Endowment is not continuous, every contribution is vital to keeping NOBA independent, up to date, and of high quality.

At the same time, NOBA serves as one of the most significant tools for artists to finance their creative work — sales through the platform provide opportunities for sustainable artistic practice and contribute to the development of both local and international art scenes.

NOBA Find Art is a curated and constantly growing selection of contemporary artworks, featuring more than 6,000 works by nearly 500 artists from across the Nordic and Baltic region.

It is not limited to works for sale – each artist’s profile provides an overview of their entire practice, offering curators, galleries, and collectors valuable insight into their work.

For many artists, NOBA serves as their main or even only online portfolio, ensuring their art remains visible and accessible to a wider audience.

Why Your Support Matters

Advancing the Art Field

By supporting NOBA, you help promote Nordic and Baltic contemporary art regionally and internationally.

Developing the Platform and Infrastructure

Your support keeps NOBA’s platform current – both technically and in content.

The Art Guide, our regional exhibition map, is updated daily and features over 250 exhibitions each month, from underground art spaces to major museums.

The map is free for all galleries, artist-run spaces, and institutions, ensuring visibility is based on artistic value, not financial capacity.

Supporting Artists

Your contribution increases artists’ visibility and helps ensure fair representation and recognition for their work.

We collaborate closely with artists to support their creative sustainability and to document and present their works professionally.

Empowering Emerging Talents

In collaboration with art academies, NOBA founded the Nordic & Baltic Young Artist Award, which highlights outstanding works by recent graduates and helps them take the next steps in their artistic careers.

Ways to Support

Operational Support

Helps cover the daily work and content creation behind the platform, including:

  • Presenting and documenting artists’ works

  • Recording and digitizing the legacy of senior artists

  • Maintaining the Art Guide and art stories section

  • Publishing interviews and analytical articles

Operational support allows NOBA to continue its mission — to promote art and bring it closer to both the public and professionals across the Nordic-Baltic region.

Project Support

Contribute to specific initiatives that sustain and expand NOBA’s cultural ecosystem:

  • NOBA Art Guide – a regional exhibition map featuring over 250 exhibitions monthly

  • NOBA Find Art – a curated and continuously updated selection of contemporary art, featuring more than 6,000 works by nearly 500 artists from across the Nordic and Baltic region.

These are not only artworks for sale – artist profiles showcase their broader creative practice, offering curators and galleries valuable insights. For many artists, NOBA serves as their main or only online portfolio.

  • Art Stories and Interviews – a section introducing artists, exhibitions, and collectors, while fostering public understanding of art.

  • Nordic & Baltic Young Artist Award – promoting visibility and international collaboration among emerging artists.

Art Purchases

Support artists directly by purchasing their works through NOBA.ac.
